Robert Gould Tharp, 1928-2003

Now and then we are graced in life to meet and know someone whom we can honestly and joyfully describe as a "good person." In my life, Bob Tharp was one of those people. More than being a faithful bishop, priest, and deacon, he was, first and foremost, a good and kind Christian gentleman. Perhaps his voice, always gracious, will suggest a less strident way for all of us to converse and engage each other. That would please him. It might also please God. -- JLD
